Pier Vittorio Aureli - Labour, City, Architecture
Vortrag in englischer Sprache im Rahmen des Programmschwerpunkts Solidarität - Wie entstehen demokratische Räume?
VortragThe lecture will focus on the relationships between the transformations of labour and the evolution of architectural form. If Hannah Arendt thought of labour as the basic sphere of the human condition, to be complemented by work and political action, today labour has become a totality of the human condition and thus contains not only all aspects of human life but also the possibility of the political. In light of this condition, Pier Vittorio Aureli will revisit canonical architectures and their relationship with the transformation and different organization of labour. He will put forward his position by presenting a project that addresses the contemporary city.
