The Rozadol residential complex is one of the most successful projects incorporated to revitalize the original city organism at the beginning of the 21st century. It was built according to a contest winning project on the plot of a derelict complex of a former dairy factory in Bratislava’s wider centre. The generous approach of the investor, invention of the architects, and the foresight of the municipal authority fortunately met at the start of the project. As a result, a vibrant city-forming element was built on the location of an outdated industrial complex. It subsequently became integrated into the organism of the surrounding quarter. The complex consists of eleven buildings with apartments, offices and public services. Its ground plan corresponds with the motifs of the neighbouring urban structure. It forms a relatively intimate yet open inner area with an excellent environment, which merges private and public uses. Three types of apartment house offer a wide range of apartments with a diverse layout and a variable open floor area of between 61 and 180 m2. The dominant feature of the complex is the 24-storey residential tower. It makes complete the complex’s characteristic image given by its brick-coloured cladding.
