Eva Franch i Gilabert: Fiction is the Greatest Force
VortragWhile architecture is oftentimes reduced to the production of buildings, architecture is also the practice of envisioning cities and civic form. In the process of producing these urban edifices that house social, political and spatial relations, architects produce new models of society in its operational and aspirational terms, constantly innovating new forms of collective life.
Cultural institutions around the world are dedicated to collect either past or contemporary forms of knowledge. Storefront for Art and architecture is dedicated to the production of alternatives. Its program of exhibitions, events, competitions, publications and special projects provides an alternative platform for dialogue and collaboration across disciplinary, ideological and geographical boundaries. Through its physical and digital platforms, Storefront provides an open forum for experiments that impact the understanding and future of cities, territories and public life.
